Every dog has its day ...

Soooooo. Anybody feel like talking about the jurys' verdict against the Knox County commissioners in the sentinel vs. commissioners suit? The jury left no doubt where they stood in the matter. The commissioners disrespected the very people who put them in office. Well, maybe not all of them. And of course, not all of them were put in office by the people. Some of them were handed their positions, like a prize pig at an auction.
I think that what happens next is the most important facet of the case. What kind of remedies, if any, will the chancellor prescribe for this sick behavior? It could well be that he'll say they're guilty indeed, but there is no point in another redo. Another point to ponder. Owings said on TV tonight that the commissioners may well decide to spend more of our money on a stupid appeal that has little or no chance of success. But, then, why should they care? It's only the taxpayers' money. And we all know how they feel about the taxpayers.
Soooooo, what do you think? Wanna talk about it? Post your thoughts.
